Caving under Budapest

Many people visit Hungary’s famous thermal baths, but
only a few are aware of the fact that hot water rushing
up from deep underground has created something else
too. The capital is built on a limestone basis, in which
the heated water formed a huge cave system, thought

to be more than 120 km long. If you aren’t claustrophobic
you can apply for our regularly scheduled cave tours
which are guided by qualified caving guides. During the
2.5-3 hrs long tours you will often have to climb on walls
and crawl through narrow passages so you have to be
prepared for adventure. You don’t need to have any
previous experience in caving and all the caving
equipment (overall, helmet and light) will be provided.
You have to book a tour in advance, but at the reception
we can do that for you!

Danube Cruises

The Budapest panorama was added to the World Heritage List by UNESCO. One of the reasons these sites were selected is that the
banks of the Danube at Budapest illustrate the various periods of the capital's history, and furthermore the city has one of the world's
outstandingly beautiful urban cityscapes. The World Heritage site inscribed in 1987 stretched from the Chain Bridge
(Clark Ádám Square) to the Technical University on the Buda side - an area containing the Gellért Baths, Mt. Gellért with its Freedom
Monument and the Citadella, and also the building ensemble of the Buda Castle.

With different kind of cruises on air-conditioned ships you can admire the panorama:

  • Dinner & Cruise with live music
  • Coffee & Cruise
  • Wine & Cruise
  • Cocktail & Beer Ship
